Multi-scale friction model for automotive brake simulations is developed based on the tribological effect of surface asperities.

Modeling dislocation dynamics within CPFEM framework
Due to dislocation pile-up, materials show Bauschinger effect and Hall-Petch relation. Dislocation pile-up, Hall-Petch relation and kinematic hardening are predicted using CPFEM frame work.
